If death has occurred at home and your loved one was under hospice care, you should immediately call the hospice nurse and inform them of the passing. Your hospice nurse will take care of everything. When the hospital or nursing facility contacts us, we will respond to the place of death and transport your loved one into our care. If death has occurred away from home it is important that you call us right away at 501-796-2275. We will take care of everything from start to finish. We network with Funeral Homes, Mortuaries, and Crematories around the world. We will contact a Funeral Home or Mortuary in the area where the death has occurred and arrange for embalming or cremation. We will also arrange for the transport of your loved one back home.
If your loved one is under the care of the medical examiner and you have chosen to use Vilonia Funeral Home you should give us a call. The next of kin will need to sign a Medical Examiner Release form from our office giving permission for the Medical Examiner to release your loved one into our care. We will fax this signed form to the Medical Examiner office and when they are finished with their investigation they will contact us to transport into our care.
