When it comes to funeral service, it is imperative that you call upon a firm that cares about your needs before the bottom line. We realized that many families were being overcharged for funeral services and products. These same families noted that they were not receiving the quality of service that they thought they had paid for. We realized that to be successful in the funeral business, every staff member must truly care about the needs of the families they serve. It is also important that the funeral home listens to the needs of each family, and gives their utmost attention to every little detail of the arrangements and services.
While working at a local funeral home in Conway, around 2001 and driving regularly through the small town of Vilonia, Mike and His family had a vision of starting a local, family owned funeral home in Vilonia. The mission was to establish a funeral home that offered affordable funeral services and cremation to the Faulkner County area in a home-like atmosphere. The vision entailed a local, family owned and operated funeral home that provided exceptional service by putting the needs of families before bottom lines and sales quotas. Our first goal was to help people in the most difficult times of their lives.
In December of 2015, the Matos Family leased and began remodeling the building at 1134 Main Street in Vilonia that used to be a local laundromat, and then was a church. On March 9, 2016 the doors opened and Vilonia Funeral Home became a reality. The families we have served to date can attest to the fact that we truly seek to help people.
