Roger Dale Uptain, Sr., age 75, passed away Saturday, January 30th, 2021, at his home in Conway, Arkansas.
Roger was born October 15, 1945, in Adamsville, Alabama to Louie and Grace Uptain. He was a christian in the Baptist faith and enjoyed fishing and camping. He worked at Oaklawn Racing for many years as a Maintenance worker.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Bonnie Uptain of Conway; two sons, Dale Uptain of Little Rock; Carl Louie Uptain of Little Rock; one daughter, Christy Leach of Conway; four brothers, Tommy Uptain of Conway; Jerry Uptain of Conway; Billy Uptain of North Little Rock; Andy Uptain of Alabama; one sister, Robin Wideman of Hot Springs, Arkansas; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as many extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Richard, Arthur and Larry, and his grandaughter, Lacreaia Ann Marie Uptain.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday, February 5, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Vilonia Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside Services will be Friday, February 5, 2021 at 2:00 PM in the Vilonia Cemetery with Kindred Hospice Chaplain Kathy Owens officiating.
Vilonia Funeral Home is attempting to follow all COVID-19 Health Department guidelines. Attendees over the age of 10 should wear their own masks and maintain a social distance of 6 feet.
