Raymond Green, age 74, of Mayflower, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, June 2nd, 2022 at his Residence.
He was born December 19, 1947, in Hot Springs, Arkansas to Lawrence and Alberta Green.
Ray retired as an AT Chief from the United States Navy after 24 years of service. He was awarded a Purple Heart. He was a veteran of the Vietnam and Gulf Wars.
Ray gave is life to the Lord and was a long time member of the First Baptist Church of Mayflower.
Ray was member of the Razorback football team his freshman year of college. He remained a lifelong Razorback fan.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Green of 45 years, two daughters, Cathy Hornbeck (Steve) of White Hall; Jamie Finley (John) of Cabot; Six grandchidren, Noah Hornbeck, Abigail Hornbeck, Gabe Green, Aiyana Palomo, Yesenia Finley, Isaiah Finley and a host of family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Alberta Green, and his son, Brian Green.
Memorial Services will be held Thursday, June 9th, 2022 at 2:00 pm in First Baptist Church Mayflower, 4 Hwy 89 N., Mayflower, AR 72106, with Bro. Chris Satterwhite officiating. The family request that if you own Razorback gear or red please wear it to the service in honor of Ray.
