Mary Jo Cox

Mary Jo (Lawson) Cox, 92, of Enola, made her final journey home at 10:45 pm on Monday, December 12th, 2022. She was a devoted mother and long time member of Marcus Hill Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Brady Cox; daughter, Barbara Rigney; sons, Wayne, M.L. and Brady Allen; two grandsons, Brian Rigney and David Cox.

She is survived by her sister, Vern Eva Brantley; daughter, Diane Sweeney; sons, Joe and John Cox; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; and many nieces and nephews, all of whom she dearly loved. 

She was loving and accepting to all who entered her home and always quick with a laugh and a smile. Though not always related, she was called mom by many, as she adopted them in her heart and treated them as her own.

She was loved and respected by all who knew her and was a ray of sunshine that brightened the world around her. She will be truly missed. 

A memorial service will be held,10:00 am, Saturday, December 17, 2022 at Marcus Hill Baptist Church, 366 Marcus Hill Road, Enola, Arkansas, 72047 with Bro. Kim Leach officiating. 

Cremation arrangements are under the care of Vilonia Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1134 Main Street, Vilonia, AR 72173.
