Juanita Austin

Juanita Ann Austin of Vilonia, earned her eternal reward on April 23, 2023 at the age of 85.

Juanita was born on May 8, 1937 in the Bayou Meto township to John Lee and Thelma Elizabeth Morden. She provided in home child care for many years and loved all of the children she cared for. Juanita was of the Baptist faith and a longtime member of Vilonia First Baptist Church where she worked in the nursery. She was a lover of southern gospel music. She adored and loved spending time with her grandchild, Rachel Austin.

Juanita is survived by her two sons, Steven Austin of Vilonia; Ricky Austin of Holland; one brother, Billy Morden (Linda) of Jacksonville, Arkansas; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, as well as a host of extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Bobby Austin; her daughter, Janice Austin and sephen brothers and sisters.

Her life will be celebrated at 1:00 pm, Thursday, April 27, 2023 at Vilonia First Baptist Church, 1206 Main Street, Vilonia, Arkansas 72173 with Dr. Ed Gillham and Dr. Kyle Seal officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service starting. She will be laid to rest in the Vilonia cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Stephen Austin, Ricky Austin, Bob Rowe, Brandon Fowlkes, Scott Gillham and Robert Gasper.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Centennial Bank for her grandchild, Rachel Austin.

The family would like to thank the staff at Salem Place Nursing & Rehab for their loving care over the last several months.
