Charles Pickren Jones, age 73, of Benton, passed away Wednesday, December 9th.
Charles was born in Little Rock on September 3, 1947, to Victor and Wanda Jones. He was a Vietnam war veteran serving in the United States Army. He was a Christian and member of the Church of Christ. He worked as a machinist in the oil industry, and was actively involved with his sons in the Boy Scouts. He enjoyed woodworking, camping, fishing and spending time outdoors.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 40 years, Debbie Martin Jones of Benton; two sons, David Aaron Jones (Jenna) of Benton; Jesse Jones (Sarah) of Wichita Falls, Texas; two daughters, Rebecca Alisha Jones of Sherwood; Vikki Ayers (Robert) of Alexander; one sister, Donna Harris of Killeen, Texas; six grandchildren, Brody Jones; Barrett Jones; Charles Ayers; Elijah Jones; Ambrie Jones and Skyler Ayers, as well as a host of extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; one brother, and his sister-in-law.
A celebration of life service will be Friday, December 18th, 2020, at 10:30 am in Sherwood First Church of The Nazarene 8800 AR-107 Sherwood, AR 72120, with Rev. Justin Ledbetter officiating. Burial will follow at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock, AR.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations be made in his honor to Camp Wyldewood in Searcy, Arkansas. Donations can be made through their website at www.campwyldewood.org.
