Betty Sue Hughes

Betty Sue Hughes (Loftis) went to be with the Lord on March 09, 2019 in Beebe, Arkansas at the age of 79. Betty was born on July 17, 1939 in Lonoke, Arkansas to Thomas Lester and Eunice Faye Loftis. She was a member for thirty years at the Lighthouse Pentecostal Church in Beebe, Arkansas where during her tenure, she also worked as a housekeeper for Bishop and Sis. Vicki Scheel. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, and working word search puzzles. She was also the go to lady at church, if anyone needed a safety pin. She leaves to cherish her memory, two sons, Tim Hughes (Jody) of Beebe; David Hughes of Kansas; two daughters, Rebecca Chandler (Tony) of Beebe; Regina Worthy (John); two brothers, Earl Loftis (Darlene) of Beebe; Bob Loftis (Prudy) of Colorado; three sisters, Shelby Gray (Jerry) and Lou Ellen Lemons both of Sylvania, Arkansas; Frances Talbert (Kenneth) of Dover, Arkansas; nine grandchildren, eighteen great- grandchildren, as well as a host of extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, William Claude Hughes; and two brothers, Tommy Loftis and Kenneth Cullum.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 from 6:30-7:30 PM at the Lighthouse Pentecostal Church 505 North Apple Street Beebe, AR 72012. A funeral ceremony will follow at 7:30 PM also at the church, with Bishop John Scheel and Pastor Jason officiating. Pallbearers are D.C. Shorter, George Bradley, Philip String, Cody Brooks, and Renny Perez. Interment will be 10:00 AM, Thursday, March 14, 2019 at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens in Beebe, Arkansas.
