Mary E. Barnard

October 20, 1939 — July 18, 2020

Mary Ellen Young Barnard, 80, of Rose Bud, celebrated her heavenly entrance on July
18th, 2020, with her children by her side. She died in her daughter Diane’s home in
Vilonia from complications related to a stroke. She was in Hospice Care for six months. We are very appreciative of the love and care that the nurses gave to her. She was born
October 20, 1939, in McClelland, Arkansas to Assemblies of God ministers John and
Mary Young, whom she joined in Heaven.

Mary, joined her sweet husband, Jasper and special daughter Mary Jane when she
moved to her new home without pain. What a wonderful reunion that must have been.
We can see them strolling down the streets of Gold. She was also joined by her sisters,
Wilma Holder and Lois Askins; brothers, Tom Young and Johnny Young.
She leaves her two daughters, Diane Casey (Mike), Thelma Lou (Doug), and two sons
Darrel (Kathy), Ron Barnard (Karen), ten grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren, five
sisters, Bobbie Bowerman, Reta Caldwell, Patsy Holdges, Thelma Morgan, and Marg
Moore, to keep telling others about Jesus.

She was a treasured Rose Bud school teacher and loved her job.

She was a faithful member of Legacy Faith AG church plant and influenced the lives of
everyone she met. She Intentionally lived out a life with unwavering faith in the
knowledge that God would be with her though any difficulties in her path. We hold a
huge appreciation and amazement at her lifetime of positive influence on everyone that
her life touched! She will be missed.

Because of Covid-19, Mary’s Memorial service will be a video tribute put together by her
family and live streamed August 8th at 10 am. All other services will be held privately.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Vilonia Funeral Home 1134 Main Street Vilonia, AR 72173. Sign the online guestbook at www.viloniafuneralhome.com.
