John David Caley died unexpectedly on September 14, 2017 at his home in Conway, Arkansas at the age of 57.
John was born on April 26, 1960 in Unionville, Missouri to Orel H. Caley and Juanita Yardley. He graduated in 1978 from Putman County R-1 High School in Unionville, Missouri. He married the love of his life at the Edgartown Lighthouse on the Island of Martha's Vineyard. He worked as a drywall hanger and finisher for over twenty years. He was a truck driver, and after leaving that career, he traveled the world with his wife who was a traveling nurse. In 2009 they made their home in Conway, Arkansas where they endured the two tornadoes. John worked at Wal-Mart after moving to Conway.
In addition to his professional life, John loved going to the races, and was a avid Nascar collector, and a Movie Buff with John Wayne being his favorite. He had a heart as big as the world, and would do anything to help anyone. Everyone that knew him, loved him.
John is survived by his wife of 27 years; Lillian Christine Johnson Caley of the home, three daughters, Christina Louise Caley of Osceola, Iowa; Evelyn Faye Holtel (Billy) of Clarence, Missouri; Jennifer Lynn Dorsey (Danny) of Unionville, Missouri; one brother, Tom Caley (Lynette) of Unionville, Missouri. one sister, Anita Agan of Unionville, Missouri; 8 grandchildren as well as a host of extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Oral H. Caley and Juanita Yardley.
The family will receive friends for visitation at Vilonia Funeral Home Chapel 1134 Main Street Vilonia, Arkansas 72173 on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM. Funeral Service will be September 21, 2017 at 10:30 AM also at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Brown Cemetery in Enola, Arkansas.
